In line with the Premier’s most recent announcement, we're thrilled to confirm that Pines Forest Aquatic Recreation Centre will be open from Friday 22 October for lap swimming only, ahead of its usual season opening! Thank you to Frankston City Council for your support of the earlier season start.
The Premier has advised that from Friday this week, outdoor swimming pools can open with a maximum of 50 people in the facility, to fully vaccinated patrons.
We are still finalising our initial reopen plans, but we can confirm that:
- In order to safely open the Pines pool, and meet public health guidelines and State Government requirements, it will initially be in a fully vaccinated environment.
- Anyone within the facility - including staff, patrons, contractors and parents - will be asked to demonstrate the fully vaccinated requirement upon entry.
- With only 50 people allowed in the facility when we open Pines, bookings will be required, on a casual pay as you go system.
- As we have such strict capacity limits, we will only be offering lap swimming in the initial reopen phase.
- These settings in place until we hit the next milestone (80% double dosed), hopefully in the next fortnight!
